If you're looking for mountains with stunning viewpoints, hiking trails that will let you touch the clouds, or a chance to admire a beautiful sunset, then this trip to Madeira is for you!

Incredible landscapes, magnificent hiking trails, rich culture, and a gastronomy that will make your mouth water are the highlights of this trip

Day 1 | Welcome to Madeira Island

This day is reserved for your arrival at Madeira Island

So, when you leave the airport, a car will be waiting for you to take you to your accommodation.

If you can’t check-in yet, leave your bags and take the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Funchal.

At a time to be arranged, once the entire group is gathered and the check-in formalities are completed, your Leader will hold a brief meeting to address any questions and provide you with more detailed information about what will happen in the coming days.

After the meeting, it’s time to sit down at the table and taste the island’s specialties, in a dinner hosted by Break Free Adventours.

Day 2 | Hike and Explore Madeira

Today the day starts off with a bang, as you’ll watch the sunrise from one of the highest points on the island – Pico do Areeiro.

After the magnificent display of Nature, we will begin one of the island's most beautiful trails towards its highest point – Pico do Areeiro a Pico Ruivo.

Although it’s a challenging trail, it will leave you speechless countless times.

However, at the end of the trail, and taking advantage of being in the East part of the island, we will visit Santana with its typical little houses, taking the opportunity to rest and recharge after the hike. Once the group is ready, we can still explore more of the East Coast, such as Ponta de S. Lourenço, and the awsome Guindaste Viewpoint.

Day 3 | Porto Santo

Today, to relax after yesterday's big hike, we have a day in the paradise of golden beaches. We're talking about the island of Porto Santo.

We’ll catch the first ferry of the morning to make the most of our time on the neighboring island.

Once we arrive at Porto Santo, We’ll take a 4x4 tour to explore the entire island. In the end, you’ll still have time to swim in the therapeutic waters of one of the biggest beaches in Portugal, or enjoy a poncha at one of the many seaside bars

At 7:00 PM, we depart back to Funchal.

Day 4 | Van Tour Madeira

Today, although it’s a more relaxed day, you’ll discover a lot.

So, we’ll depart early in the morning heading towards the West side of the Island.

So, the plan is to visit Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão, Ribeira Brava, Paul da Serra , where you’ll have the opportunity to explore a bit of the Fanal Forest ,through a beautiful, yet short, walk. Finally we will arrive to Porto Moniz Natural Pools

We will also have the opportunity to visit the Seixal Beach, in case S. Vicente Caves remain closed.

Get ready for a full day with lots of stops, villages, viewpoints, and of course, Poncha! It’s likely that the dip in the pools of Porto Moniz and Seixal Beach will happen! So, be prepared.

Day 5 | Hike and Explore Madeira

Today, we’ll need our legs again, as we explore what Madeira is known for – its levadas.

In other words, among the many options on the island, today’s itinerary will involve taking the Levada do Rei – a levada that will take you to the heart of the Laurisilva Forest.

At the end, and time sensitive, we’ll also take the opportunity to visit the Ponta de S. Jorge and its ruins.

Day 6 | Funchal

This day is entirely free for you to say goodbye to this magnificent island in the best way possible.

At a time to be arranged, a car will be at your accommodation to take you to the airport.

Note - .With the unpredictability typical of Madeira Island, it is likely that there will be modifications to the itinerary. What we mean by this is that, for example, some hikes may need to be rescheduled or could even be closed due to events beyond our control. If this happens, our Leader will suggest an alternative hike.

Note 2 - Flights are not included. However, we offer a flight booking service for an additional cost of 40€ per person

Nota 3 The transfer is included for a specific flight time. If you need to fly outside of this time, you will need to make your own way to/from the hotel.
