Iza Martins
Consultant / Tour Leader
I often fall in love with places I've never been and people I've never met.
Born and raised in Guimarães, I discovered late (but in time) that I wasn't meant to be in a cubicle from 9 to 6.
The first time I set off alone into the unknown was during an international internship in Malta in 2009. Although it was just a 3-month internship, it triggered a profound transformation in me that I was not at all prepared for. I returned to Portugal where I worked for two years in a consulting and training company, but I was unhappy, and the future in Portugal seemed anything but promising.
In 2013, with morale as high as the bottom a pitt, I headed to London, where I lived for 3 years, exploring the UK whenever I could. In 2016, the opportunity arose to not only visit my dream country but also to live there for a year.
With Portugal added to the Australian Work and Holiday list, I left my job in London and went to Australia for a year. It was at the end of that trip that I decided this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and so I presented my idea to Bruno and Joana, founding Break Free Adventours, a few years latter.
I look forward to creating new memories with you!
