Tourism became a part of my life quite early. I started working in 2003 at a company in Porto focused on nature activities and extreme sports. I spent 5 years there, guiding groups to various locations in the North of the country.

It was a personally enriching experience that allowed me to meet fantastic people and visit amazing places. Although I worked in other fields in the following years, the experience and freedom that job gave me have always stayed with me.

I decided to pursue a degree in Tourism because I knew that was the field where I wanted to fulfill my professional aspirations. In 2014, the opportunity arose to open a hostel in Guimarães, together with Joana.

It was a significant personal achievement and (thankfully) a great success! Hosting people from all corners of the world means I am constantly “traveling.” I decided to join Iza and Joana in the Break Free Adventours project because I believe Portugal deserves to be known in a more traditional way, rather than the “mainstream” approach. We may be small, but we are enormous!

Dare to travel with us?
