Essential Rights Under Directive (EU) 2015/2302
- Travelers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the contract.
- There is always at least one operator responsible for the proper execution of all travel services included in the contract.
- Travelers have access to an emergency phone number or contact details for a point of contact to communicate with the organizer or travel agency.
- Travelers may transfer the package to another person, with reasonable prior notice and possibly payment of additional costs.
- The price of the package can only be increased in the case of increased costs for specific items (e.g., fuel prices), if this possibility is expressly stated in the contract, and in any case, up to 20 days before the start of the package. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the package price, the traveler may terminate the contract. If the organizer reserves the right to increase the price, the traveler is entitled to a reduction in price if the relevant costs decrease.
- Travelers can terminate the contract without paying a termination fee and receive a full refund of payments made in the case of significant changes to essential elements of the package, excluding the price. If, before the start of the package, the operator cancels it, travelers are entitled to a refund and, if applicable, compensation.
- Travelers may terminate the contract without paying a termination fee before the start of the package in exceptional circumstances, such as serious security issues at the destination that could affect the package.
- Additionally, travelers may terminate the contract at any time before the start of the package by paying a reasonable and justifiable termination fee.
- If, after the start of the package, significant elements cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternatives must be offered to the traveler at no additional cost. The traveler may terminate the package contract without paying a termination fee if the services are not provided as per the contract, this non-compliance significantly affects the execution of the package, and the organizer does not remedy the situation.
